  • Bot Invite Link: https://api.collab.land/discord/bot-invite

  • Background check: Code that completes every 24-48 hours that checks public wallet addresses to confirm the correct token is still in the member’s wallet. (Also see Blockchain Event Listener)

  • Blockchain: A blockchain is essentially a digital ledger of transactions that is duplicated and distributed across the entire network of computer systems on the blockchain.

  • Blockchain Event Listener: Code that listens for sales and transfers of a member’s qualifying tokens and removes access once he/she/they no longer qualifies.

  • Collabland-config: Channel in Discord where admins communicate with the bot. Messages from the Collab.Land team also sent here. Do not delete or change the channel name; doing so will break functionality of the bot.

  • Collabland-join: Channel in Discord where members who want to gain access to a TGR begin their verification flow. Click on the “Let’s Go!” button to get started!

  • Contract address: Refers to the address where the contract is deployed. Find the contract address on a block explorer (like etherscan or polygonscan) or opensea.

  • Command Center: Simpler web-based user interface with advanced TGR configurations and additional admin tools.

  • dApp: Decentralized applications that are powered and developed using the blockchain.

  • DAO: A group of people who agree to abide by certain rules for a common purpose and the rules are written into the code of the organization via smart contracts.

  • DM: Direct Message (eg: turn off your server DMs )

  • Discord ID: 18 digit number that can be found with Developer Mode on, right clicking a members’ Discord icon in chat, and selecting "Copy ID"

  • Developer Mode: How to enable Developer Mode (Discord/Desktop/Web)

  1. Open the Discord app and click on the Settings gear icon at the bottom-left corner of the screen.

  • Duplicate Wallet Error: The Collab.Land bot supports connecting one member to a wallet address. Wallet addresses cannot be shared.

  • EVM: Refers to Ethereum Virtual Machine. A software platform that developers can use to create decentralized applications (DApps) on Ethereum. This virtual machine is where all Ethereum accounts and smart contracts live.

  • Etherscan: a blockchain explorer for the Ethereum network. The website allows you to search through transactions, blocks, wallet addresses, smart contracts, and other on-chain data.

  • ERC20: The standard for fungible tokens on all EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) blockchains.

  • ERC721:The standard for non-fungible tokens on all EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) blockchains.

  • ERC1155: The standard for batching ERC20 and ERC721 tokens on all EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) blockchains.

  • Gated Channels: Channels open to those who have the qualifying TGRs.

  • Hardware Wallets: Wallets that require an additional step when verifying with Collab.Land bot. Examples are Ledger and Trezor.

  • !join: The first step in Collab.Land verification in the old flow. Please kick and re-add the bot to upgrade to the safer NO-DM flow. Previously configured TGRs remain intact.

  • Kick: Removing the bot from the Discord Server. Doing so will not affect TGRs.

  • "Let's go!": First step of the NO-DM flow. Generates a unique link for verification.

  • Layer2: A technical scaling solution that uses the security of the layer1 (eg Ethereum, Solana, NEAR) to increase transaction throughput.

  • Mint: The process of taking a digital asset and converting the digital file into a digital asset stored on the blockchain.

  • Members: Discord users who have verified with Collab.Land

  • Message signing: Just like a physical signature proves that the signer has acknowledged the contents of a document, a cryptographic signature solves for a similar use case. Read more: https://medium.com/collab-land/message-signing-with-collab-land-370ec03759dd

  • Metadata: Description of any token: data that describes other data.

  • Multi-sig: refers to a wallet requiring multiple keys to authorize a blockchain transaction

  • NO-DM flow: Latest version of Collab.Land bot flow that removes the need to interact via private direct message, developed in response to increased scamming.

  • NFT: non fungible token, a unique digital object that confers ownership of a virtual good, like a digital artwork or online collectible

  • Permissions: These allow users (and bots) to have specific privileges and functions in that Discord server.
